The TPI Group celebrates Christmas FINE 2020 with leading figures from the sector

The health crisis caused by the Covid-19 has prevented the celebration this year of the V edition of the FINE awards that should have been held coinciding with the eighth edition of the INTERNATIONAL SHIPBUILDING EXHIBITION, NAVALIA.
Faced with this impossibility, the TPI Group has just celebrated the Christmas FINE 2020, an online event in which prominent personalities from the sector have participated, who have reported on the major developments that occurred in this year that closes and the forecasts for 2021All of them have agreed to highlight the unrepentant work of the maritime industry to innovate, specialize and adapt to digitalisation and industry 4.0, as well as to grow in a sustainable way to be able to reverse its benefits in welfare and wealth for the community. After these months of great storm and hard effort on the part of the maritime industry, those responsible for the organization of this meeting have also wanted to value the excellence of the professionals, institutions and companies that make up the blue sector, praising its outstanding work, determination and commitment to this industry.
The event was opened by Luis Guerrero, Marine Chief Executive Spain & Portugal of Bureau Veritas, and spokesperson of the FINE Group (Spanish Naval Industry Development), formation constituted by a group of experts and recognized professionals of the Spanish naval sector that represent the whole value chain of the maritime industry.
During the event it was also possible to know the vision of institutions of weight in the sector, such as the fairs, efficient thermometers for the maritime industry. In this sense, Javier Arnau, general manager of Navalia and co-president of the FINE Awards, regretted the cancellation of the exhibition and mentioned that his desire is that in 2021 an event be organized to recover all the commitments that were had for this year, bringing the sector together in physical form. “By 2020 this sector had recovered from all the crises we had experienced in previous years, with a great deal of effort. We must continue working, especially in the line of internationalization, and being recognized as a sector that is contributing to the growth of the economy and to strengthen the Spanish brand abroad. In 2022 we will twist the arm of this blissful virus and we will meet in Vigo in Navalia”.
