Navantia finishes the project for Siemens in Fene Shipyard

The order of the Australian logistics progresses in the estuary
Navantia just finalized the offshore wind assignment that had received from Siemens, by sending the two last jackets – steel structures that support the wind turbines in the sea – of the four it has built in the last few months in Fene shipyard. In mid-August the first two units were shipped, while the last two were sent to their destination, Denmark, at the beginning of this week.
The end of the fabrication of these little jackets leaves the Perlío plant with a single offshore wind assignment, that consists on the fabrication of 42 foundations for East Anglia One Park promoted by Iberdrola in the waters of the East coast of the United Kingdom. During this month of September, the programme will register a noteworthy milestone by setting the first units that are being produced in the shipyard.
Meanwhile, both Fene and Ferrol are making progress in the production of the first blocks of the logistic vessel assigned by the Australian Army, after finalizing the design critical review phase in June. The company launched on Friday at an internal meeting the Maritime Action Ship, incomplete because of the pressure measurements of their employees.
