Cardama will do a platform to produce marine energy

The shipyard will deliver this week its second vessel for Angola Astilleros Francisco Cardama will begin next year the construction of a platform for the marine energy production. The project, of 3 millions Euros, has been ordered by the company Magallanes Renovables. The 40 meters long and 25 meters wide platform, will have two rotors that will be positioned to face marine current to produce energy. In the design has participated the engineering company CNV Naval Architects.
The idea of the invention promoter is to try it in the Strait of Gibraltar. The aim of the shipyard is to finish the construction before the end of 2014.
This project means a new order for the shipbuilding company that next 4th of October will deliver the second vessel for Angola. It is Chiloango a "multi purpose" similar to the tugboat Salvador Ocamo. Cradama won in 2008 and international tender for the construction of these vessels for 55.5 millions Dollars.
