Navalia organizes an international day about the construction of fishing vessels

The president of the exhibition took advantage of the Council’s presence to announce the celebration of an important technical seminar within NAVALIA 2018 dedicated specifically to the fishing sector and their new constructions. “Fishing must be a driving force in attracting new contracts and in making our auxiliary industry more visible for other markets like Norway, Iceland or, on the other side of the Atlantic, in Peru or Ecuador”, explained during the introduction.

Pescanova assigns to Armón the biggest naval contract of the fishing industry in Galicia

The multinational company will release the vessels in 2020, without banking on the capital. Armón will be the only shipyard assuming this construction, which will spread the workload among Vigo and Burela. Nueva Pescanova will entirely undertake the partial renovation of their fishing fleet in Galicia with the construction of seven vessels between Vigo and Burela. The multinational corporation has assigned to Armón the biggest vessel order of the fishing history in Galicia until now, valued in 42,5 million euros.

GONDAN signed new Hybrid Icebreaker tug designed by Robert Allan Ltd

The shipyard, selected as the result of a rigourous international competition, will build the tug designed by Robert Allan Ltd for the Port of Luleå (Sweden). The new tug is a RAL TundRA 3600-H class icebreaking design fully customized for the Port of Luleå operational requirements. The vessel is designed to perform icebreaking – it is capable of breaking 1 metre of ice at a speed of up to 3 knots- ice management, escort, ship-assist, coastal towing, fire-fighting and navigation aids service duties.

CaixaBank and Shipyard Barreras, awarded for the financing transaction of the cruise built for Ritz

The Spanish Association of Corporate Finance Officers and Treasurers (ASSET) awards its prize for financial excellence to the building project of the vessel Barreras shipyard is constructing. The award was delivered this morning during a seminar of the association in Madrid. The vessel, whose investment amounts to 248 million euros, will be 190 metres in length and capacity of 298 passengers.
