Rodman Polishyps takes over an ocean graphic vessel for Baleares

The catamaran contract, 24 meters long, is 3.5 millions The Coast Observation System from Baleares (Socib) has hired Rodman Polishyps, the polyester department of Grupo Rodman, to build a 24 meters long ocean graphic catamaran of 3.5 millions of Euros.
Joaquín Tintoré, Socib's manager director, declares that it is a vessel designed for scientific missions in the islands of Baleares, although its technical characteristics and its equipment, it has a capacity of 15 people (between crew and Scientifics), will allow it to carry out functions in collaboration with the CSIC in other areas. "It is a cross-platform and multidisciplinary vessel that will allow to carry out missions within going land in one week", assures Tintoré. The Socib manager director explains that the vessel's archetype ordered to Rodman Polishyps (between three different offers) is based in the ocean graphic R/V Manta, of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) from the United States of America. The deadline of the construction and delivery of the catamaran is eleven months and the order has the financing support of the Feder founds from the EU. (Source: LA VOZ DE GALICIA)
