ARSOFT will present at Navalia 2024 the use cases of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality in naval companies

Santiago González Izard, CEO of ARSOFT, will explain the advantages of implementing these technologies in the naval sector at the Navalia Technical Conference

The shipbuilding industry in Spain has been and continues to be an important sector of the country's economy. Throughout its history, it has experienced various changes and challenges, but it continues to be a significant industry with a large construction capacity and with benchmark companies in the sector.

In recent years, the Spanish shipbuilding industry has adopted a wide range of technologies such as those related to Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality (XR technologies) to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and adapt to the new challenges of the global market, since their use allows greater precision and safety in the design and prototyping of a ship, but also in key issues such as training or maintenance support.

ARSOFT is an expert in implementing XR solutions for industry, with a range of value propositions and a proprietary platform, EyeFlow, that allows companies to invest in these technologies and become more efficient. It is an authoring platform designed to enable anyone to easily create interactive Virtual Reality simulators and Augmented Reality procedures for industry.

ARSOFT has been helping companies implement this type of technology for years to improve training and maintenance tasks, among other things.

In the area of training, Virtual and Augmented Reality are used to train employees in a variety of tasks, from operating complex machinery to performing safety procedures. Realistic simulations allow employees to practice in a safe and controlled environment, reducing risk and improving training effectiveness.

On the other hand, as far as maintenance and repairs are concerned, thanks to technologies such as EyeFlow, technicians can access digital manuals superimposed on the real world through augmented reality devices, facilitating troubleshooting and reducing downtime.

Santiago González Izard, CEO of ARSOFT, will speak at the Navalia Technical Conference about the advantages of implementing this type of technology and explain the use cases of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality in companies in the naval sector. It will take place on Wednesday, May 22nd at 10:00 am in the Aula Xunta de Galicia.

EyeFlow is currently used by large companies such as Navantia to transform their technical documentation of industrial processes into interactive 3D content, improving both the training of these processes and the support of the operator.

ARSOFT, present at Navalia 2024
The ninth edition of the International Shipbuilding and Maritime Industry Exhibition, Navalia, will open its doors from 21 to 23 May at IFEVI, the Vigo Trade Fair Institute. This year there will be 533 exhibitors, including ARSOFT.

It will be present at stand F54 and will show, among other things, how to digitize manuals to guide operators with Augmented and Mixed Reality, but not only. It will also show how to connect with digital twin data from virtual environments and present virtual reality simulators to improve training.
