How EyeFlow improves the efficiency and safety of ship maintenance processes

With the EyeFlow platform, ARSOFT is helping many companies in the marine industry improve their maintenance operations to be more efficient and productive.

Ships have a long life cycle and construction, maintenance and repair costs are often high. Proper maintenance management in this sector can become a success story for companies as it ensures the safety, performance and durability of the vessel over time.

ARSOFT, a company specializing in the development of Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality technologies, has been helping companies in the naval sector successfully apply this type of technology to improve their maintenance processes for years.
This success is due in part to its XR EyeFlow content creation platform. A solution that allows companies to easily create interactive virtual reality simulators and augmented reality procedures. EyeFlow helps companies digitize all their maintenance processes without incurring high costs.

Why are Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality technologies being used in the marine industry?

  1. Train technicians and maintenance operators in machine repair and maintenance procedures. Thanks to Virtual Reality, operators can enter virtual scenarios that replicate reality to practice handling tools, learn about each machine component, and perform maintenance procedures without having to physically access the vessel.
  2. Remote assistance. In this case, Augmented Reality allows operators to receive remote instructions from experts while performing maintenance tasks on the vessel. This requires the use of augmented reality glasses or a tablet with AR capabilities. With these devices, the operator can, for example, superimpose a manual on a component of the ship in real time to solve problems faster and more efficiently.
  3. Perform more detailed visual inspections of ship components. In this context, virtual reality makes it possible to inspect areas that are difficult to access without the use of an elevator.

ARSOFT will have a large stand at Navalia, the most important naval industry exhibition in Spain, which will be held in Vigo from May 21 to 23. During these three days, ARSOFT will present the Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality solutions that it is developing for the naval sector. In addition, ARSOFT will present its XR content creation platform, EyeFlow, with which companies in this sector can easily create virtual simulators and Augmented Reality procedures that allow companies to improve training and maintenance tasks and thus achieve greater efficiency.

We look forward to seeing you at Navalia 2024!
