Metalships Shipyard from Vigo is awarded its largest ship repair works

The Vigo shipyard Metalships is carrying out one of the most important works in recent years, which is somewhere between repairing and new construction. This is a deep transformation of "Ocean Marlin", an offshore supply vessel, which works will entail considerable engineering activity, as well as providing new equipment that will involve a very relevant modification of the main ship characteristics.

Repair works
Metalships is focused on repair and maintenance works for the commissioning of large vessels, while waiting to obtain new construction contracts.
The shipyard, from Rodman Group, is aimed to solve its economic difficulties - it has been in the red since 2016 and losses were 2.2 million in the 2022 financial year. In recent months it received several ships for repairing and maintenance works, including a tuna vessel, a ship for the Spanish Navy and two cargo ships, among others.
