World 1st maritime navigation aids Day will take place in Spain

Puertos del Estado (national port authority) was offered to embrace and coordinate the event to an international level, in order to visualize security importance at navigation and preserving maritime environment.

The first edition of the world maritime navigation day will take place around the 1st of July in Spain, with a wide activity program including open days, exhibitions and conferences in several places within the country.

Puertos del Estado, that holds the Presidency of the International Aid Association for Maritime navigation and lighthouses Authorities up to May 2018, was offered to embrace and coordinate the central event to an international level, under the name of ‘Maritime navigation Support: successful trips, sustainable planet’.

It is trying, with all that, to show the importance of navigation security and preserving maritime environment, helping secure traffic for all type of ships, by using devices, systems or ship external services, designed to improve navigation and maritime traffic security and efficiency.

The World Day was stablished on the 1st of July as it is the Association’s foundation day by 1957, day proposed by Puertos del Estado, the national port authority. The aim is to reassert compromises on this scope, to show reached targets and to promote new actions, along with spreading technological innovation and how it is contributing to harmonize world’s aids.
