Nodosa first contract for Royal Artic Line
The Shipyard will build two refrigerated multi-cargo ships for the shipowner from Greenland
Nodosa Shipyard’s web page informs about the contract effective date for the construction of two refrigerated multi-cargo merchant ships for Greenland. The ships will be closer to 40m-length each, and its basic design has been assigned by the prestigious shipowner from Greenland, the Royal Arctic Line, to the Norwegian designer Havyard Design & Solutions As, meanwhile the Detail Engineering will be run by Nodosa’s Technical Office.
These ships, that will fulfil the strict cote of DNV-GL classification, will be specially prepared for cold waters and ice, as well as to take especial refrigerated cargo on board, dangerous goods and containers. Its fundamental use will be to supply from different and several types of materials to several cost villages that habit on the difficult and intricate coast of Greenland. Its delivery will be estimated for the end of 2020 for the first one and four months later the second one.
