The Government approves aid to naval sector until 2020

The Council of Ministers approved yesterday the update of the aid regulation for ship construction and R+D investment for the naval sector, that will be valid until 2020.

Specifically, they reinforce the financial support facilities for shipowners in the construction of ships of more than a hundred gross tonnes and increase the support for the shipyards’ R+D projects. The essential innovation is that this regulation now includes subsided fishing vessels and updates the documentation to be submitted for the justification.
