Marcos Freire, new president of the Galician naval cluster

Marcos Freire, General Manager of Freire Shipyard from Vigo, was designed yesterday president of the Galician Naval Cluster (Aclunaga) in the general assembly held in Santiago.

Freire replaces Fernando Alcalde from Astilleros J. Valiña from La Coruña, that will continue as chair of the board of directors.
As the cluster informed, Marcos Freire showed in the assembly that his aim is ¨to work to reinforce this sector, vital for the Galician economy, protecting the naval interests as a group¨. Freire said that one of the strategy lines will be to motivate the technological capacity of companies, he also wants to “protect the common interests of every company of the naval sector, this means that they are gone to collaborate searching new contracts as well as financing actions¨.
