Navantia and the Basque ship owner Ondimar form an Alliance to built three oil tankers

New workload for the Galician naval sector. Navantia signed yesterday with Ondimar. From the Basque group Ibaizabal, a preliminary agreement for the construction of three oil tankers with an option on three more. In the letter of intent signed by both parts, the ship owner and the owner of several public shipyards, show their intention to reach an agreement for the construction of these vessels.
In case the contract will be carried out, Navantia has to choose the work centers where the construction will be realized. Although it seems that, the majority of the project will be carried out in Cadiz. (Source: Faro de Vigo)
