Fernández Tapias hires Navantia for the transformation of a vessel that will be used by Pemex
The Spanish public company Navantia and the ship owner F. Tapias Galicia, of the businessman Fernando Fernández Tapias, signed yesterday in Madrid a contract for the transformation of An Offshore Supply Ship (OSS) support vessel for oil platforms. That will generate in Ferrol a 150.0000 hours workload during 5 months. Navantia will carry out the installation of a new procedure plan in a OSS called "Monforte de Lemos", in order to work checking holds in the Gulf of Mexico under a contract with Pemex.
Fernández Tapias declare its "agreement to take Navantia into account for future operations" and emphasized "the innovative character of these vessels", what "means an excellent opportunity for Navantia for being a reference in this world market".
