Navalia receives again the category of International Exhibition by the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Competitiveness

The Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness of the Spanish Government, has granted Navalia once again the category of Full Internationality. In order to receive this recognition, the exhibitions must meet a series of requirements, among which Navalia stands out for celebrating more than 3 editions (it will accomplish its 7th edition in 2018), to receive at least 10%of direct foreign exhibitors or 5% of foreign visitors, both parameters showing a positive progress (Navalia has clearly exceeded these figures in its last three editions, where the international growth has been exponential).
It is equally valued the fact of having the naval sector’s support, as well as counting on a positive report from the Territorial Office of Trade and the Spanish Foreign Trade Institute (ICEX). Likewise, the Government, through the General Directory of Commercial Policy and Competitiveness, considers as other features of great value “the need for a real or potential Spanish export offer, the event to encompass the maximum rate of companies, both producing and exporting companies of the sector; the fact that the location coincides with the geographical area where there is the larger number of producers” or “dedicating an appropriate budget to the exterior promotion of the exhibition with regard to the overall budget”. Apart from the prestige and quality assurance provided by such an acknowledgement, the full internationality has advantages for being considered an essential requirement by the official institutions and business organisations for its dissemination and empowerment, and the approval of State grants for exhibiting companies. This “internationality for custom purposes” offers customs facilities for the displayed goods in community transit and the exemption from the payment of the Spanish fees. Both seek the support and empowerment for the internationalization of the Spanish companies.
