Navalia is working in the second edition of E-FISHING that will turn Vigo into the world reference meeting about the energy efficiency on fishing

Papers could be sent to participate in this International symposium from July 17th to November 1st. The congress will be held from the 22nd to the 24th of May 2012 coinciding with the International Shipbuilding Exhibition of Vigo. After the achieved success of E-FISHING 2010, the Navalia organizers are already working in the second edition of this biennial conference about the study of the energy efficiency in the fishing sector. this symposium wants to be forum where experts present their last advances in research and development destined to improve the fishing vessels and systems energy efficiency.

Authors are invited to present their studies regarding the fishing vessels and systems energy efficiency, including all the fishing steps, the energy transformation, the fishing vessel design, auxiliary machinery, the renewable energies application and the use of new technologies, the papers to participate in this international symposium, which will be held from the 22nd to the 24th of May 2012 coinciding with the Vigo's International Shipbuilding Exhibition, will be delivered before the 1st November.

The 2010 edition counted on the participation of 32 first level international speakers coming from 16 different countries (Spain, Russia, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea, United Kingdom, Ireland, Holland, Norway, Italy, etc.) the symposium was focused in this occasion in such fundamental subjects for the sector as hydrodynamic; motors; fuels, additives and gas emissions, or the renewable energies use in fishing vessels. The meeting came in useful as well for promoting the European Fishing Technological Platform (EFTP), a initiative born to integrate all the relevant actors of the value line of this fishing sector in the research, development and innovation process to modernize the activity, making it more sustainable and competitive in the long term.

The Navalia's organizers have decide to further its promotional agenda after summer going in September the 8th to the Offshore Europe Exhibition in Aberdeen, a meeting that gather annually the oil and natural gas exploration and production sector. This trade fair that present the last advances in products, technology and services for the sector, is visited by engineers, technicians, industry leaders and experts to participate in its conferences, which provide them the information, the innovations, the solutions and the tools that they need to update and make their business more profitable.
