Javier Arnau meets with the Ambassador of Ecuador and with government representatives from Panama and Colombia in Madrid.

The director of the International Shipbuilding Exhibition, Javier Arnau, is in Madrid this week to continue with the round of international contacts for the eighth edition of the show. On this occasion he will meet with the Ambassador of Ecuador and with government representatives from Panama and Colombia. “The South American market is a priority for our auxiliary industry, and with these countries in particular there is an excellent relationship after several editions,” explains Arnau. This is the case of Colombia, a country with which the organization has been working for six years and whose meetings were successful in the last edition with the visit of a senior military personnel from Cotecmar.

These meetings objective, therefore, is double: to increase the number of foreign exhibitors and to encourage the visit of delegations to Navalia. In this sense, the fair already has the response of several countries that have confirmed the visit of ambassadors and political representatives in 2020 and will be concluded in the coming months.

Apart from that, and after the Angela Turrín visit to Vigo last April (International Trade Advisor of the United States Embassy in Spain) Navalia continues working in order to get the “Trade Event Partnership Program”, a certificate of agreement between organizers of private trade fairs and the United States government that recognizes the events for its excellence by maximizing opportunities for US business and aiming to increase US exports and expand US participation abroad. "This is an important document for us, a kind of quality seal granted by the American Government and that makes us a fair of interest for their companies," says the director of the fair, who will also hold a meeting with Ms Turrín to advance on this and other topics of interest, such as the visit of an American firms delegation.
