Ferri supplies machinery to an Anglola’s oceanographic for 2.2 million

Industrias Ferri sent yesterday from Gondomar, at the end of the day, the first parts of the deck machinery for a fishing investigation ship built by the Netherlander Damen for the Angolan Government.

Contract achieved last year which value get up to €2.2 Million. A challenge for this auxiliary naval company which highlights the Norwegian design of the ship and its technological characteristics.

Eight spare parts, that will belong to the ship, were sent yesterday, particularly winches and capstans for demersal and deep-fishing. They will help the boat in its investigations tasks to help “to develop and preserve the important Angolan fishing economy.” The machines sent worth €1.2 Million.

The ship of 74 m length was designed by the Norwegian Skipsteknisk studio, and the shipyard has payed special attention to try to minimize the subaquatic noise, as well as the on-board noise and its vibrations. The ship will be used to do hydrographic operations, acoustic investigation, deep-sea and demersal trawling fishing, plankton fishing, water, geographic and environmental sampling, oil recovery and emergency towing operations.

Industrias Ferri continues fighting to get several contracts in this moment. The last one was for Canada, where they got its first contract to provide six Country Corps ships with mooring systems and refueling worth €3 Million.

Nowadays, they continue working at the mayor catwalk Offshore of the South of Europe for a company that supports oil platforms (worth 4 million) and progresses on the sea trials of the independent maritime drone Vitoria launched last December.
