Barreras fixed the 29th to lay down the Petroleos Mexicanos floatel

This will increase the auxiliary personnel in the shipyard until 200 people by the end of the month The shipyard Hijos de J. Barreras, participated at 51% by the Mexican oil company, has fixed for the last Tuesday of this month to lay down the vessel (an accommodation floatel) that means the second of the building steps of any ship. With this Barreras will begin a more advanced work period that will mean an increase in the auxiliary staff until 200 people by the end of the month.

These first blocks are being built in Barreras Steel installations, rented last May to a Grupo Ganain subsidiary (Calderería Naval del Miñor) to carry out several works. Calderería Naval del Miñor still employs more than 70 workers, which number will increase during next weeks until reach 200 people to lay down the vessel. According the shipyard president statements, by the end of summer could be 500 employees working on the floatel.
