Grupo Gabadi acquires the company N.S. Lourdes

The company specialized in naval qualification and the repair/construction of LNG tanks thus consolidating its market share in the sector of the shipbuilding outfitting.

N.S.LOURDES, S.L. began its business activities in the year 1961. From that date, it began to carry out work in what throughout its history has been its main activity, naval fitting, carrying out all kinds of work aimed at fitting out ships and the manufacture and assembly of furniture for them, and it is specifically specialized in everything related to wood manufacturing.

One of Gabadi's objectives is to strengthen its presence in Cádiz and to be able to deal with more projects in the area without having to relocate so many employees, having the possibility of also entering the yacht fitting-out market, which is a segment that until now Gabadi hadn't touched. The opening of the Balearic Islands market is also a plus for the galician company, which provides NSL with a reinforcement of its financial structure and its managers, who will continue to lead the company with the support of GABADI.

The CEO of Gabadi, Antonio Llago, has stressed that this is a very important project and "reflects what the company is capable of doing": identifying good companies in the process of change, in which, collaborating with the different stakeholders, they promote processes that make it possible to achieve balanced structures on which to grow.
Gabadi, who maintains the total workforce of 60 NSL workers, and has had the advice of Garriges, Alfonso Jiménez Abogados and Cabezas Vázquez and Somolinos Abogados, in the process of this purchase operation.

The official presentation of the operation will be made in an act within the framework of the II Navalia Congress to be held from September 20 to 22 in Gran Canaria.
